Animal Head Lantern Workshop for Adults
September 10th, 6–8pm
Friendly Tap, Community Room
Join local artist, Susan Hall, creating one of a kind animal head lanterns worthy of display.
This workshop is free, with 20 available spots.
We suggested a donation of $20 to off-set the artist’s fees and materials.
LANTERN WORKSHOP for ages 55+
September 12, 9:30–10:45am
North Berwyn Park District

We are excited to share another free lantern making workshop for seniors ages 55 & up on Friday, September 12th at 9:30am. In partnership with the North Berwyn Park District, participants will design a globe lantern to bring to the community lantern parade in October! Register by calling the Park District at (708) 749-4900.

Inaugural Lantern Parade
October 4th, 6–8pm
Proksa Park
Join us in celebrating our creative community, Saturday, October 4th from 6-8pm.
We’ll be meeting at the flagpole in Proksa Park for the inaugural Berwyn Lantern Parade.
We’ll parade within the park and enjoy live music while meeting friends new and old.
Make sure to bring your lantern! If you don’t have one, we will have a few available just in case.
Whether you'd like to walk the parade with us or watch the fun as a spectator; residents, visitors, schools, local organizations, and businesses, everyone is invited to make a lantern and join in the fun.
Lantern Parade Rules/ Reglas del desfile de farolillos:
Hand-held, non-flying lanterns only! / Sólo linternas portátiles no voladoras.
Battery-operated lights only, no candles or flame! / Sólo luces a pilas, ¡nada de velas ni llamas!
No pets, no bikes/ No se admiten animales ni bicicletas
No passing / No se permite adelantar

Lantern Making Workshop for Tweens & Teens
July 9th, 5-7pm, Berwyn Public Library
Come at 5PM for some food to fuel your creativity.
Join local artist, Carolyn Kassnoff, for a lantern-making workshop. Learn to make stunning paper lanterns. Enjoy them at home and bring them out for the Lantern Parade in Proksa Park on October 4, 2025. Artist Website
